I have a hard time not saying antici … pation just like that. Thank you, Rocky Horror Picture Show.

There are so many complicated and not-terribly-enjoyable things in my life. But here are three things I am looking forward to:

• The Arizona quarter! It’s exciting now that we’re up to Wyoming and Montana. Movin’ out west! The coins are issued in order of when the states became states. The Grand Canyon state, like any proud Arizonan would know, was ratified on February 14, 1912, and is the 48th state — I didn’t even have to Google that, I’m so hard core. I’m pleased that the best blog in the world shares my fascination for state quarters. Check out the official release schedule.

• My birthday, as it will occur on 05 06 07 this year, which is super neat and not an omen at all, I promise. Say it with me: Oh five! Oh six! Oh seven!
• And for said birthday, possibly receiving the Bill Wyman Signature Metal Detector, which is one awesome endorsement pairing, even awesomer than Chi Chi Rodriquez and his Power Bracelet. Bill Wyman, of course, was the original bassist for the Rolling Stones and fond of child brides. And fond, too, of digging up Bronze Age coins.

Update! Do not give me a metal detector for my birthday (but thanks so much for thinking of me). It has been exposed as the world’s worst hobby! Booooooo.
