archive january 2006: tamar’s visit to california
Look at Tamar, wandering around the tidepools of Solimar. I’m so glad Tamar came to visit. She’s my honeymoon friend!
Uh oh, it’s getting to be anemone-poking time!
A shell! Photo stylist: Becky
Always happy to be together. Tamar brought gifts and glee, and put up with my infant-like sleeping schedule [due to the last of a viral throat infection].
Poke poke! These anemones have endured many many fingers over the decades, with a disproportionate number belonging to Haycoxes.
Sorry for the jarring transition. We have departed Solimar and have travelled southward. Ewww, what’s wrong with the characters of Star Wars?
This is the sea anemones’ wish for their evolutionary future.
Patients are suffering from a waxy pallor. Ho ho!
Pinks, baby! Thus continues a short but very intense period of carb/grease/meat-loading. Nothing remained uneaten. It suited Tamar — look at how high her cuteness factor is. How ’bout that tee?
Man, with such incredibleness as a wall of dire wolf skulls, and the fish-bowl lab, you’d think the Tar Pit‘s postcards would be a tetch more rockin’. Ooey gooey fun, nonetheless.
She’s the best photo subject ever. This is an unauthorized photo of prone Tamar, looking at the giant revolving mushrooms mounted on the ceiling. This exhibit did exactly what it set out to do. Amazing. And I got to share it with Tamar, my honeymoon friend! Come back soon please.
