i look to you, my gorgeous reader

Paul and I have this Fourth Friday Challenge thingie for our daily posting regimen this year. On his blog, Paul’s put out the call to all his blog reading public, asking for story ideas, writing challenges, themes. Since I seem to do what he does, I’m asking the same of you, my sweet reader.

What would you like to read about? Do I not delve enough into an area of my life? Are you curious about a person/place/thing I have mentioned? Have I not talked enough about craft or boys or improv or food? Is there a thought experiment you’d like to lay on me? Would you like me to tell a secret, Truth or Dare style? Want me to draw a fantastic picture?

I know there’s at least 28 of you out there. Bring it on.

Tell us about that one time….when you were ten or so….when you had the “best day ever”!

(I am fishing for this to spark a memory, so you can tell us the story….)

I’m curious about when you were engaged just because I never knew that you were until you mentioned it here. But if that’s too personal, how about telling us about your first crush.

Tell us about the time something was so beautiful you cried, and you still get teary eyed thinking about it now.

Or, if that’s to boring you can tell us about the time you lost your virginity! JUST KIDDING!

    XOXOXO

I would like to hear your views on:

    Rod Stewart
    Mick Jagger
    Sting

    Thank you.

I love all of these ideas, including the extremely silly and the extremely personal ones. Maybe you can change the names of certain people to “Clowny Face” and “Butthead” to protect their already tarnished reputation.

I’d love to hear a story of what your life would be like if you had made a significantly different choice in your life, i.e. married that guy, never left San Francisco, sang in a rock band, etc. I also want to know what all your favorite movies are and why as well as when you watch them and what emotion you wish to invoke when you re-watch them.

And you should of course, do whatever you want, but since you asked…

so, ditto for all of the above, they sound great.

also, how ’bout one on online dating, the caveat being that you have to go on some “matched” dates and comment on your experience. or go to one of those speed-dating events and blog about it. no, I’m not trying to put you through hell. I genuinely think it could be fun. at least really fun to read about. :]

and if you have already done this, then point me in the direction of that particular blog so I can read all the juicy details!

Write about the briny: the deep blue sea. This could include stories about food, weather, shipwrecks, starfish, sea-sickness, or pirates. Or whatever you desire.

Please post a photo-log of you current home space, highlighting some of your favorite corners or spots, including the out-of-doors.

What’s your favourite moment from childhood? Do you have a least favourite? What’s the funniest memory? (I remember lying under my bed for a whole afternoon in tears because I was convinced that my parents loved my brother more – don’t ask me why I think I was having a bad day lol.

Truth or Dare sounds good – I used to always go for dare because I’m bananas lol.

I would like to hear about the school teacher in your life that you remember the most. Not even necessarily the “best” teacher but one you won’t forget and why. I had one in first grade that made me cry and stay in the cloakroom all day and when my mom picked me up that day she pretended nothing was unusual and that we had a normal day.

I’d like to read about a task that gives you a huge sense of accomplishment. It doesn’t have to be monumental like curing world hunger, just a little ditty that makes you feel good once you’re done.

One of mine is using my Tweeze on my legs. It’s basically an epilator that rips the air out of my legs. For some reason I get intense satisfaction out of seeing my legs hair free and I do not get that feeling from shaving my legs. Probably TMI, but I think you might get the idea.
