Winter Tea and a Giveaway!

Today’s Hambox Advent Calendar Day is extra-special. First, let’s start with the beautiful art conceived and executed exclusively for the Hambox Advent Calendar by Regina Rivera. And she’s kindly converted it to desktop wallpaper so you can have an electronic canvas of pure magic blessing your eyes! Look at those dear fancy deer!

Oh, but my darling, there’s more. More!

Because she is a tall drink of pure fantasticness, Regina is giving away a Flickr Pro Account to one lucky Advent Calendar visitor! Flickr is the life-changing photo storing and sharing website that is one of the happiest places on the internet. A Pro Account gives you one year of unlimited photo uploads! Good gravy, it’s becoming like a holiday in herrre. Go say hi to Regina, seriously.

Rules!

  1. You must really want a Flickr Pro Account, and will use it.
  2. If you have a blog, write a post on any topic. Then come here and comment on this post, below.
  3. If you don’t have a blog, then write something in the comments below, preferably a little story about the Winter Tea.

Deadline!

12 noon on Sunday, December 14. The winner will be selected at random by a drunk (but very by-the-rules) guest of Hambox. Winner will be announced as soon as we can post the drawing pictures to Flickr!

They don’t call that chick an artist for nothing. I like the snowman and the deer dressed to the nines sharing a cup of tea.

I’ve always thought upper register eighth notes looked like swings. Now swing it, little deer, swing!

Tea in the winter can be a very refreshing thing…..the warmth of the hot cup on your hands, the blistering boiling water as it passes over the lips and tongue…..the scalding of the esophageal pathway to the imperviously lined stomach……yes, very refreshing indeed.

Hey Becky. I saw your facebook status so I came here and commented. Now I’m trying to think of something fun to say that will legitimize this comment.

I’ve started blogging again. However, you’ve been consistently blogging. And that is awesome.

okay, count me in for the drawing. it’s always hard for me to pass up a drawing. today, i witnessed someone win a raffle for the first time ever. she said, “wow, i’ve never won anything.” and then we realized that she could never say that again. amazing how your identity can change in a moment. 😉

now to get on with the comments. first of all, thank you, becky, for the beautiful, cock-eyed tradition of the hambox advent calendar. i’ve been enjoying each day most excellently. this particular item, “winter tea” is gorgeous, whimsical and inspiring. got my brain tickling on my upcoming advent calendar contribution…
