turn turn turn

Aunt Pat and Mom

That’s my tiny mom, being hugged by her big sister way back when. Or perhaps she’s being throttled by her big sister?

Man, they were a pair. Best friends and true love their whole entire lives.

January 18 marks another year of my mother’s passing. That’s all I want to say about that, except that I miss you, mumsy.

I’m having a lot of complicated feelings today but I’m feeling a lot of gratitude for mom and for Dr. King, whose day we’re marking, too.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.

I know how I feel you feel. I obviously didn’t know your mom, but through you I’ve had a chance to learn a tiny bit about her. Are you wearing her fantastic bracelet today? Let’s blow a kiss to our moms… Hugs, Beckygirl!

I grow steadily more intimate with my folks as the time passes and I clearly see them in my movements, habits and desire. You’re the spirit and image of your mom, Becky.
    I LOVE you..

Hugs dear girl. Jan. 7th marked the 10th anniversary of my dad’s passing (have I written that before here?), and although I’ve grown past the lump in my throat I can’t pass the day without thinking of him.

My Great Grandma passed away a month ago. On Saturday it’s her Thanksgiving service. Back on November 5th it was a year since my Grandma died. 🙁

On a lighter note of sorts, last week was a year since my friend tried to commit suicide – now he’s dealing with the issues and talking to a counsellor person – he’s getting stuff sorted and life is going on 🙂 It’s not really a “celebration” you want to think about but just comparing whats happened in the year makes the difference.

How did I miss this?? What an amazing photo and it warms my hear to know the closeness she shared with her sister. A toast to love.
