my dopply gangers!

hambox!

Should it surprise you that I regularly ego-surf the internet? And that I dominate the Google returns for “Becky Haycox”? Isn’t that the only way to feel good about oneself?

There are a couple of other gals out there with an online presence that happen to share my name. One is a real-estate whiz in middle America; the other, a teenager in the UK.

The teengirl has an awesome profile on an online community site.

hi i’m becky i’m 15 i live in Xxxxxxxxxx i go to Xxxxxx high skwl i like dance music and i av 5 sisters 2 bruvas and i am a very sxc grl an luv avin a laugh

My god! It’s like looking in a mirror. She goes on:

Lads: wanna boyfriend that doesnt cheat on u and that is truthworthy and that doesnt stab u in the back like sum lads, sum hu cares bout me and that wil always be there 4 me

So true, doppleBecky, so true. If you surf this way sometime, chica, I hope you found your truthworthy lad and are a hell of lot happier than another Becky Haycox was at age 15. And, real estate Becky? Hi! Go on with your bad houseselling self!

In other Bizarro-alterna-eworld news, you can read here, from my 1999 archive, why I could not purchase www.hambox.com. Update: the domain is currently inactive but owned by some asshole who needs to give it to ME, I’m the real ham hambox, please stand up.

And hamblog.com? Taken and in use; the site touts itself as the “Weblog for Hams”. Alas, put away your wild mental imagery: it’s for the serious world of amateur ham radio aficionados. Actually, that couldn’t be cuter! God bless us hambloggers, every one.

Ha ha! I can picture “little” Becky in my head 🙂 It must feel so strange to have someone to check up on like this – must make you feel like kind of a big sister? Or sista, as Becky would say 😉

How self actualized of you. There are two bogus Cardiogirls out there that I have run across in my google travels and I do not like it one bit.

Whenever I try to register that name when I sign up somewhere for free, I am aghast when my name is taken. Just recently I signed up for an online Scrabble account and my name. Was. Taken.

    Oh, the humanity.
