They are recalling all the Segways! This comes two days after I spied someone riding a Segway along the shoulder of the 101 Freeway between Carpinteria and Ventura. I take it this was just before the Segway unexpectedly threw itself into reverse and its rider into traffic.

What a photo that would have been. I did have my camera with me but I was driving too fast and too stunned at the fact of a photo op appearing during my dreary commute to get it in time. As Ã… says, after her camera ran out of juice during a prime photo op: “bugger bugger bugger!”

And um yes, that is Steve Wozniak playing polo on a Segway. Nerd upon nerd cubed.

If I were a less cranky person, I’d make like Michael David Murphy and make lemonade out of missed photo opportunities.
