day 22: darth has a one track mind
I sometimes receive adorably miffed emails from my royal reading public (hi!) when I share some of my favorite time-sucking websites. Ah, ha ha ha ha ha! You will join me!
If you haven’t checked out threadless already, don’t! I swear, I didn’t come up for air for days with this one. Let’s just say: it’s the best teeshirt store ever. And: right now, $10 sale for all shirts. Yes, yes, oh god yes.
My first threadless order was the hilarious Dark Side of the Garden for Doug for Christmas last year. Almost as an afterthought, I got one for myself, as it is a genius design.
I wore it while out and about last Sunday. This sucker appeals mightily to humans of a certain type and age:
- Boy behind counter at Peet’s: “May I just say that is the coolest shirt ever?”
- Girl at yoga: “Hey, Threadless! I need this one!”
- Checkout boy at Von’s: “Is.. is that the Death Star? Niiiiiice.”
Doug reports that he gets the same feedback from the same demographic, confirming that these youths are looking at the shirt, not at my tits. Or maybe Doug’s and my tits have The Force.
I don’t often type tits. Tits tits tits!
Where was I? Oh, yes, here’s a warning: threadless sizes run small, as the youth like their shirts tight these days (better for the tit-viewing). No lie, Girly Size L is like a Small in Old-Person Land.
Other virtual clothes racks (haha, racks) that I like to peruse:
- Anthropolgie: so pretty, so freaking expensive. But so pretty! If I could make clothes decently, this would be a prime dress design
ripoffinspiration site. - Made with Love by Hannah: Props to the Ev for reminding me of this site. Apple wrap skirt, please.
Can you tell I’m a little punchy? About to leave work and go towards the open road, San Francisco, and some turkey to stuff into the turkey-hole (hee). Everything is a triple-entendre today.
