God Jul

There’s been a lot going on, good and bad, in the extended Hambox Empire this month — the Advent Calendar is kind of preempting my normal burblings and announcements and rants n’ raves. But before we go into the latest Advent madness, lemme just interject here with a little picture of perfection:

I know, right? That’s my brand new great-nephew Dylan, freshly born on the 19th. His dad is my oldest nephew (who is five years younger than me). Just look at him. Good lord, the cute.

Okay, that’s it, back to our regularly schedule ho ho holiday madness.

Today’s Hambox Advent Calendar Window: December 21, 2008 — God Jul to All! Åsta checks in from the other side of the world, with some Norwegian treats for al! Make some lefse and settle back! Åsta is a great and wonderfully creative friend whom I met through flickr. Hooray! Go to the Calendar!

One of the lads at church became an Uncle again on Wednesday! He had the photos on Facebook within half an hour to show the world his fab Nephew! Thankfully it was this wednesday and not next!

    Congratulations and Merry Christmas!

Hooray for babies! I have a niece that’s expecting in a few months, too. A fecund generation, eh wot?

Toni, on a Mac, you press Option-A to get the doohickey (or shift-option-A for capital). Windows? Um? “Insert Special Character” or something like that? It is called an “Ångström sign”, and makes her name sound like “OH-stah.”

Åsta also has a special, different doohickey on her last name (Ø), so I had to learn all my doohickeys. Comes with having a Scandinavian friend!
