Insert Flying Pun Here!
As I totally like to remind everyone I know, I work in a physics department. I like saying that because it makes me sound impossibly bright and brainy. However, it can be a little intimidating* to some males, particularly those of the Big Dumb Lunk variety with whom I am so fond of, er, canoodling. Whoops, getting off topic, must be the 76th cupcake and 112th Rum Cocktail I’ve intook this holiday season.
Anyhow, my friend Roger, an astrophysicist (bright and brainy!), offers up December 17’s Hambox Advent Window. Roger, among so many other things, is a pilot, and therefore dedicates his page to the anniversary of the Wright Brother’s first successful flight and of all things aeronautical. Seriously, it’s a wonderland of info and links and super fun fly time!
*even though I am not nor ever will be a physicist. And, while I’m smart, there are sizable tracts of my gray matter that are smooth, dull — a little slow, even.
Yay, Roger! I really loved FAA Santa, and the fact that it included a barf bag. 🙂
I have been tempted on many occasions to invest in a pair of 3D glasses. After seeing the 3D image Roger posted, I am now certain my *want* has turned into *need*.
As for smooth, dull gray matter, I know many physicists who also have sizable tracts of the stuff. 🙂 Roger not included. Nor my astrophysicist husband… Not all the time anyway. :p
Having recently flown in a plane, having also once been to Kitty Hawk and having a thing for astrophysicists as well, I LOVED THIS ENTRY! Let’s get Santa’s sleigh flying for reals!
