Am sitting in the common area of the Hi-Seattle Hostel, after having been met, all official-style with sign saying “Becky TheatreSports”, by Unexpected‘s Fred. Was dropped at the hostel. The lobby was crawling with hungry improvisers, all ready to go to lunch. So I threw my crap on my upper bunk (d’oh) and headed out. It will take a few tries with remembering all the names, but I seemed to lunch with the crowd that has been working out and performing all week. Italians! Slovenians! Aussies! Etc. It’s a stew, I tells ya.
Now I’m back from an orientation, headed up by Unexpected’s Randy Dixon. We got loot bags [from Archie McPhee!] and a quick introduction to everyone else. I have 5 minutes to spare before heading back to the theatre (just up the alley) to see the special int’l improviser’s show. The scheduling is hopping! Hope to upload photos tonight. Once I get a flickr photoset happening, they will appear in the top bar’s pictures.
Coinkidink: One of my oldest friends, Moya, happens to be in Seattle with her family this week. They tell me there is a spare room available for me. Hmmm — slumming in the top bunk or a room to myself?
