out of the mouths of crackpots
As there tends to be with, well, pretty much everywhere, the place at which I work (a physics department) draws peripheral people, brooders, people with time on their hands.
In the spirit of building a better mousetrap, these people like to challenge the currently-accepted laws of physics, offer alternate theories, do a little blue-sky thinkin’.
And these helpful, um, screeds often get sent to the lowest common denominator of the department, the generic webmaster at floobieuniversity dot edu. And that’s me!
There’s a gentleman that is very, very busy, writing an epic and eclectic tome, and it seems to be absolutely mandatory that he alert me (and presumably all other webmasters of all other science departments everywhere) as to what he’s working on every single moment. Sometimes it’s science-related, sometimes not. I have to say he’s starting to win me over lately:
Dear people: I am currently writing the value of feeling good, real, and normal.
So expect:
Methods to manage times of unfulfillment.
The value of feeling good, real, and normal.
Thank you.
Who doesn’t want that? Sign me up! I want to feel normal. I will try anything, up to and including a tinfoil hat.
Photo: Toni’s legs, looking good, real and normal. Photo taken by me, 2004.
I will expect these things. How exciting!
I’ve long loved this photo of yours. In fact, I’m off to Flickr right now to make sure I’ve faved it. 🙂
p.s.: is your beloved crackpot SP?
could you redirect emails like those to me? I want to feel good and real some days – though normal is subjective.
i like the word screed. and yes, nice legs, if i don’t say so myself. i’m wondering, what ever happened to those shoes?
